The gala focused on the "heart" of Ishskwaday, showcasing the last 10 years of ministry at Longlac - and how the vision of Ishskwaday began. A community leader from Long Lake Reserve #58 shared her heart for her people, and about God's perfect timing. Thank you, for those who made this event a success, as we raised funds for the conference in March. Click here to see photos from the gala
Ishskwaday '08
Ishskwaday is a Native Christian Conference, which takes place every two years, with a vision of empowering Aboriginals in their identity. Ishskwaday ‘08 is the second conference since the inception of this vision. To find out more about our vision and heart behind this conference, please click here.
Building from our first conference in 2006, Ishskwaday ‘08 is a movement towards reconciliation. This reconciliation is not only for Aboriginals, but for all peoples who are continuously learning to reconcile who we are with who God created us to be.
So come and join us for two days of celebration as we learn what it means to embrace our unique identities in Christ. Ishskwaday ’08 will be taking place on March 14-15, 2008. All speakers are influential Native leaders and teachers from across the continent. A time of worship will be led by Broken Walls and the keynote address will be given by Dr. Richard Twiss. "See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland"
